LINGERING, EMU CREEK

This light installation was created to launch Capertee Weaving Water for the Capertee Hydrology and the Resilient Farmer’s projects with a festive and enchanted air, while still drawing the community into an awareness of the wetland sponge in their midst.

With extended drought having major impacts on the landscape and community well-being, the artwork highlighted the presence of plants that were actively holding water and allowing it to linger, sustaining the ecosystem and offering hope.

This work uses bamboo, glass, copper and LED’s and is powered by a solar array.
